Nguyen Van Phuc, co-founder of Benh Vien Do Da, brought a touching and humane story to Shark Tank Vietnam. Once a street child who made a living shining shoes, the startup founder overcame numerous hardships. With the determination to help others like himself escape the "dark pit" of society, Van Phuc founded Benh Vien Do Da, hoping to assist many disadvantaged people.
In 2018, Benh Vien Do Da was established as a place to create jobs and provide housing like a "roof over their heads" for people in difficult circumstances, helping them have a better life.

Benh Vien Do Da specializes in providing spa and restoration services for sofas using imported, herb-based solutions. Nguyen Van Phuc confidently affirms that Benh Vien Do Da can treat cracks and fissures in leather, restoring sofas to their original condition without replacement.
Notably, the workforce at Benh Vien Do Da consists of former street workers. Here, they not only learn about sofa spa treatments, leather and branded goods restoration, tailoring, and sofa upholstery, but also presentation skills to develop their public speaking abilities and self-confidence. After about 6-9 months of training, trainees can expertly tailor sofas and work at Benh Vien Do Da or be introduced to other establishments.
Nguyen Van Phuc shared that Benh Vien Do Da is purely dedicated to training, providing housing, and job placement for disadvantaged individuals. In addition, this startup also supports employees with capital and techniques to become self-employed, with the condition that they commit to continuing to support other disadvantaged people.
After more than 5 years, Benh Vien Do Da has helped nearly 30 individuals step out of their personal "darkness," find stable employment, and earn a monthly income of 9-15 million VND. With these efforts, in 2023, Benh Vien Do Da received the WeChoice Awards in the category of Inspirational Figure of the Year.

Aspiring to open a new facility to help even more disadvantaged people in Ho Chi Minh City, Nguyen Van Phuc came to Shark Tank Vietnam to seek investment from the Sharks. Impressed by Nguyen Van Phuc's mindset and step-by-step business development approach, he successfully persuaded 4 Sharks to join hands in investing in Benh Vien Do Da. The amount he called for from the Sharks was 500 million VND for 8% equity. Particularly moved by the startup's heart and ethical approach to work, Shark Minh Beta immediately issued a 500 million VND Golden Ticket to Benh Vien Do Da. Simultaneously, the Chairman of Beta Group also invited Sharks Hung, Phi Van, and Thai to join this deal.
Expressing his admiration for the self-respect in Nguyen Van Phuc's thinking about his work, Shark Minh Beta said: “You are not being grandiose with numbers or ambitious to expand quickly, widely, and strongly. Human strength is always limited; we cannot救世主 the whole world. How to make each thing we touch truly meaningful and profound, that is more important."
Just before the deal aired on VTV3 channel, Benh Vien Do Da received the 500 million VND Golden Ticket disbursement from Shark Minh Beta.
